Catch-Up Tid-Bits

Evaporated Kids:
The Clue
I don't know.  We just came home to the apartment in Aleš and Veronika's and found this on the steps.
Possibly an alien invasion using death rays; possibly an attempt to open a second-hand store; maybe just someone frightened out of their 'wits?'.  You tell me.  The note, however, is a clue, but I'm not going to tell ... you need something to do today anyway, right?

Birthday Greetings:
Daniela, Sam, Ondřej
B.J.'s twin nieces who live in Delaware had a 7th birthday
recently.  The Pomikálek kids were happy to help us extend birthday greetings.  The kids on this end: Ondřej, Daniela, and Sam (Samuel) send goodwill to Sam (Samantha) and Lillie!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words:
You have got to love the combination of languages here.  Psí is Czech for 'dogs' and Bar is English for, well....  bar.  But the best is the Czech translation for 'woof, woof'!  Did you know Czech dogs say 'Haf, Haf'!!

You Gotta Love This Country:
What do you pay for a pint of Annapolis' finest beer?  Depends on where you buy it, of course.  And you can't get a pint of beer in the average store there... somewhat less portion.  But compare the price in a local pub and you can see why I love it here..... Beer 32CZK (Czech currency equal to about $1.46) while a soft drink is 35CZK and sausage (more like a hot dog actually) is 50... Need I say more?
